Works in what way, pray tell?
If one looks at the effect of TM overall, one finds a mixed bag. There are
those who swear by it, those who think it is helpful and those for whom it has
quite literally been a nightmare. And there are many who fall somewhere in
between each of those categories.
One can't, if one wishes to be objective, shrug off the testimony of those who
believe it has saved their lives in one way or another, nor can one ignore
those who state emphatically that it ruined their lives.
TM is a mixed bag at best. From my point of view, when you add to the mixed bag
the fact that many TM teachers say that upwards of 90% of their TM students
stopped doing TM within the first few months of learning it sort of sullies the
TM is good rep.
TM's rep is further damaged from the plethora of stories of unpleasant,
deceitful and downright abusive behavior experienced by numerous people at the
hands of Marshy and many of his keenest lieutenants.
