Why the surprise? That is exactly how it has been

presented, by the TM organization and other spiritual

traditions, for centuries.

Each darshana has it's own internal logic. If knowledge is structured in consciousness then each darshana/View relating to a specific state of consciousness will be unique but appropriately descriptive of that state. It's fashionable, esp. among paths that are incomplete or false paths to suggest otherwise. Shantideva put it nicely when he opined "View determines Fruit." Yum.
