For those who may be new to lurking FairfieldLife, a spiritual Yahoo-group, I
want to be clear that as a spiritual Yahoo-group we do not support any one
mundane political candidate over any other candidate.
Of course "we" don't. FFL is not a corporate entity and isn't set up to take
any positions on anything as a group, including:

However there seems a communal feeling by some here that is both spiritual and
postmodern scientific that Natural Law, quite evidently when enlivened by the
individual and group practice of effective transcendent meditation, will
support a best outcome for the nation and world.

And as to the P.P.S. below: Nobody agreed to refrain from posting about their
support for specific political candidates when they joined FFL, nor has that
ever been a requirement for membership.

P.P.S., This does not mean that we, as individuals, do not support specific
candidates. We may do so, offline.

If you want to make this a rule, you need to put it in the About section, and
you need to make sure anybody who joins the group understands that they're
giving up the right to publicly support specific candidates in their postings
here.

Moreover, imposing new rules on people who have been FFL members for many
years and who never agreed to those rules when they joined is devious, to say
the least, and reflects very poorly on the claimed status of this group as a
"spiritual" one, IMHO.

And we could be sure to exercise a civic duty and vote for the candidates we
believe will serve a nation in the most evolutionary way.

We'll know November 9th but until then it seems anybodies guess. Conservative
Republicans don't like Trump because he's too liberal.

 Uh, no.

In fact he may be to the left of Clinton.

 Uh, no.

 They're buddies too

 Uh, no.

so sometimes I think they're playing a massive charade on the American people.

I saw the possibility of Trump being a Buzz Windrip (Slnclair Lewis's "It
Can't Happen Here") when he started running. So did others. I thought the
Sanders was a long shot

 ("the Sanders"??)

but he did well in his campaign. I think he should still be the Democratic
Party Candidate and we know to Clinton campaign did everything they could to
get him out of the race.

Actually, he lost (by almost 4 million votes).

Remember both Trump and Sanders are on the same page regarding trade
agreements, job loss and wars of empire. Clinton just tries to snow her
followers.

Trump is an ignoramus; Sanders is an unrealistic dreamer. Clinton is a wonk
who has oogobs of experience and a big set of well-thought-out policies. She
snows people because she's so obviously qualified to be president.

I'm worried about these polls for some of the reasons you state, but I do

election arrives.

I understand the Tweedledee-Tweedledum thing, but I think there are also major
differences between the parties. Obamacare, for example, has markedly reduced
the number of uninsured people in this country, which would never have happened
had Obama not been in the White House. The Republicans also have a large number
of climate change deniers, which the Democrats do not have.

LOL! And just how are these polls conducted? Have you not read that this
election year polls have been difficult to conduct because 1) millennials don't
have landlines which are called for polling and 2) older folks like me who get
those surveys have robocall blockers so we never pick up?

The election is tweedle-dee and tweedle dumber. Ho-hum. Welcome to politics
South American style.
