I'd like to see some kind of feedback mechanism,
such as radio buttons, that allows me to designate
whether a post is helpful. Voting, in other words.
I suppose it would only be available on the Web
interface, but that's okay.
Even as I suggest this, I'm concerned it could stifle
speech, but at the same time I've often wondered,
"How many others in this forum -- most of whom
are lurkers -- agree with this?"
This proposal raises issues around the meaning and
functioning of community. I don't consider it "the
single change" I'd make. But it's something to throw
in the pot. The Yahoos could bring it up and vote on it.
