I'm not sure that Maharishi's goal is to be revered.

I was under the impression he was more concerned about teaching and

getting this knowledge out?

It just seems unusual to me;

That if he wanted to be revered;

He would be wanting people to bow down to his feet;

And would be all into the whole trip of being worshipped.

I don't think, this has been his trip at all...

Many of these first people (coming to the west) were meditation teachers and messengers, that's all.

However it can become an issue when the person who is the messenger is avaricious by nature (thus SBS's comment: 'Mahesh you'll only ever be good at one thing: making money.'), unresolved sexual issues and has to rely on others to dispense rehashed or diluted knowledge. SSRS is the latest messenger, but is also a pundit, so the new model is also improved--but still just a meditation instructor and messenger, that's all. But that's become a 'hurl yourself onto the floor as he passes' kinda trip already.

He love to elevate the exotic even it's it's just a messenger from a foreign country in a silk outfit.
