No argument with this! No kidding, when people complain about fundie Christians all being fanatics and intolerant and so on, Carter's the counterexample (not the only one, but the most prominent). It isn't fundamentalism per se that's the problem, it's the individual fundamentalist. (And it's no accident that Carter is a Democrat!)
