I've been investigating a little further. This is just hilarious, and mind-boggling. There's a long-running fight, it seems, between the people who think the circles aren't manmade and the guys who claim to have made them. The former are insisting that the claims that they're all manmade is the hoax. This site-- http://www.lovely.clara.net/homepg.html --has what appears to be detailed, hardcore scientific evidence of the differences between manmade circles and "genuine" circles. And it's only one of many. This is a *far* more complicated, and far stranger, story than I thought after finding the CircleMakers site.
