FWIW, as another data point, my experience has been that the longer I meditate, the less dependent I am on MMY's metaphysical teaching, and the more experientially aware I become that all metaphysical teaching ultimately breaks down into infinite regress and paradox. The metaphysical teaching is the right tool for the job in the begining, but it becomes less and less so as consciousness develops via repeated transcending.
