Let's not overwhelm Shemp with fancy new technology options here. VCRs are easy to operate and just about bug-free these days, and they're also dirt- cheap because most people are upgrading to TiVos and DVRs and such. Get Shemp used to the *idea* of recording stuff for later playback, then we can nudge him gently into trying the more complicated devices.
