It's fairly well documented that most of our wars have been fought over
oil. The Japanese were trying to get control of Indonesian oil fields.
The Germans were after the Middle East and Russian reserves. And if
anyone thinks we are in Iraq to bring them liberation from Saddam or to
fight terrorism there rather than here I have a bridge to sell them.

Nooz go back and read some history books again. The Japanese were raping just about all of Asia for every resource they could get. They attacked the US because we set up an embargo against them and would not sell them scrap metal because of their invasion of China. The Nazis were trying to rule the world and create a master race. And the United States is trying to break a cycle of dictatorships and poverty in the middle east in hopes that a democracy would have a positive influence in the region and spread to other nations so all the people  can enjoy their countries resources, not just a select few. The idea being that democracies don't attack other democracies and the people in democracies would rather spend their resources for peaceful purposes than fighting one another and jihadist movements would have a harder time finding a place that will ultimately accept them.
