Try reading my comment again and then yours. I referred to the Sanhedrin, not the Jewish people in general. Christ corrected the Sanhedrin and showed them the err of their ways often which really pissed them off, so much so, they had to arrest him and put him on trial in the middle of the night on Passover  to avoid a riot since Jesus had been given such a great welcome by the people on his arrival in Jerusalem.
