While that's true, she doesn't (IMO) encourage the worship. In fact, she does everything in her power to *discourage* it. Yet some people bring their bhakti shit with them and insist on putting her up on a pedestal of their own design. *Their* design, not hers. > It's not like she says anything it's more rather that > people mean things unto her and she digs the attention. I'm not completely convinced this is true, based on having sat with her a couple of times and seeing pretty much the opposite -- someone who really doesn't give a shit what the people in the audience think of her. > Anyone who thinks that's not a sublimation of sex seeking > interaction really is out of touch. Most of her "followers" who (again, IMO) have missed her whole message and kinda "worship" her are women. They dress in saris while she discourages them from doing so, bow and scrape to her while she discourages them from doing so, etc. If that's sexual sublimation, she has a large following among carpet munchers. :-) > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Peter" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > To: <[email protected]> > Sent: Sunday, December 10, 2006 12:09 PM > Subject: Re: [FairfieldLife] Re: Nisargadatta quote > > > > Well, thanks for sharing.
