I think the feeling level of Fairfield has improved greatly with the spiritual eclecticism that has grown and evolved over the years. That's not to say that the TMers don't add to the sweet atmosphere. It's just that a lot of people's spiritual needs are clearly not being met by adhering to a strict TM-only paradigm. Some have left TM behind, and others have stuck with it but added other spiritual activities outside their TM practice. The end result, however, is the Fairfield community having more spiritually fulfilled people. As for Lou, I can understand the anguish that comes through in his posts. At heart, he's still a TM TB, but the TMO has shunned him as being "impure" and not worthy of participating in TMO activities. I imagine that's a painful situation to be in, and it will probably take some time before he settles into a more balanced view of his situation and the Fairfield community as a whole.
