My take is obviously biased, but from my POV the few hard-core TMers 
still here seem to live only to make life more difficult, both for 
themselves and for anyone else in the town, at least whenever possible. 
All the nonsense about train whistles, south entrances, encouraging 
everyone to move to VC, skimming $$ off of the school tuition, etc, all 
have as a common theme attempting to put the needs of a favored few 
above anyone else's, 

I agree with you, except for the train whistles point. That's an
inconvenience to many, and especially to the financially disadvantaged, who
tend to live nearer the tracks. It would enhance the quality of life in the
town to silence those whistles.
