About fifteen years ago I was talking to a powerful and pretty well known
psychic and, just out of curiousity, I mentioned "Maharishi" (by the way, this
person was better at reading names than anyone I have met before or since).
The response I got (verbatim, 1993): "He is a wonderful human being. Alot of
terrible things are going to be said about him before he dies that are not
true. No one wants to die like that, no one wants to die like that."

We? So, you're the rascal that's been posting rumors on the internet
about Mahesh's private sex life, or lack thereof.

That's what I said, Rick, just rumors. There are no Maharishi
secretaries posting to this forum, at least that I know of. The only
Maharishi secretary that I know of that's posted anything on the
internet is Tom Anderson, who was in the room with Mahesh at Spain and
Switzerland TTC, and he didn't say anything about any sexual
encounters having to do with Mahesh. Conny Larsen apparently got the
Maharishi to give him his deerskin - so what?

Maybe so, but I get the impression that most of the respondents
believe the rumors you spread. Whose newsgroup is this anyway?

Confirmation bias refers to a type of selective thinking whereby one
tends to notice and to look for what confirms one's beliefs, and to
ignore, not look for, or undervalue the relevance of what contradicts
one's beliefs.
