Just as a language correction, the word in English is
spelled 'warriors.' A bunch of 'worriers' in this story
would be a group of guys who felt it necessary to arm
themselves heavily before sitting around worrying. (And, 
of course, that might have been the case with the warriors
Gandhi was speaking with.)

A good question. Such declarations always remind
me of the great quote by Gordon Charrick:

"You know you've created God in your own image 
when he hates the exact same people that you do."
