Yes mucho have hurt their knees and spines.  I've been told it's
especially hard on western bodies.

I agree hopping is not something that's supposed to be practiced over
years in the hopes of it finally working, and the 30 yr evidence is
that sidhas don't get better at it over time.

I'm surprised sidhas haven't gotten more curious about what's really
going on in the subtle body and consciousness during hopping.  There
are all sorts of ways to get the pranas moving in the body and some
may feel real flashy, but they don't necessarily have anything to do
with spiritual transformation.  Imagine someone who doesn't know
anything about sex and is taught how to do it and told that the
bubbling bliss and mental/emotional euphoria it creates is the fastest
way to get enlightened and the extra energy that comes from doing it
in a group creates world peace - they'd probably believe it, but doing
it 2x a day may do nothing for their real spiritual progress.
