Not to mention that Charlie was the kind of person who would develop a grudge and hold onto it for years and work behind the scenes to dis- credit the person he had the grudge against with Maharishi or get them fired from their positions. I speak from experience, plus the experience of several of my TM friends. Charlie actually managed to get several of them fired from positions in the movement. Jerry managed to keep that from happening to me, which alone cannot have ingratiated him to Charlie, but they had a lot of their own shit going down, too. Both had egos. IMO, Jerry was better at keeping his in check.
