I used to archive everything for a huge Star Wars list, and after a year of that, I decided I hate it. So now, I pick and choose from a few different lists. I have blanket permission from several authors, but most of the time, I just email them and ask (or go ahead and archive, depending on what their archive statement says). There are a few different X-Men lists (not counting moviefic lists), but not many. Mine is one of the biggest, if not the biggest X-Men-only list, with over 600 members. I can get pretty much all the fic I want off of there (or all the fic I can archive, LOL), but as for other fandoms, I pull from a number of different lists, mine or someone elses.
