What is your DB? I have no idea with Problem 1, yet.
I encounter the same problem as Prob no. 2 when I refresh my application scope. I haven't tried fixing it, though, and I didn't post the problem here because I did a custom install of some sorts. Restarting my Coldfusion server usually fixes problem no. 2. Though I run into them again when I refresh my app scope. I have not encountered the disappearing Cache Management, yet. If you are using PostgreSQL, you might want to use the updaters present in 3.0.2 (b301.cfm, b300.cfm, fu.cfm), though this is not generally recommended by the community (in fact, I am the only one recommending it, as of this time). The updaters in 3.0.2 works for PostgreSQL. The ones bundled with 3.0.1, does not work properly with PostgreSQL (as Oracle is not supported yet, that time, and PostgreSQL's syntax is similar to Oracle; at least I think that's the reason).
