Adam, I have noted that frameworks are so UNLIKE each other as to defy attempts to fit them into a concise definition. You can do things with Farcry that you can do with a framework and it does provide a methodology and abstraction. A tighter definition of frameworks will only make them more frustrating and less accessible. What is needed is a little less webster and a little more Dr. Phil :)

Most CMS' are extendable. It's there selling point, but it's not a framework. It's a "if you want to play ball, you have to do it this way". In fact I would say that Farcry is an application that could have been written in any frameworks. Frameworks don't start by offering you a CMS solution. I really think this is fundamentally misunderstanding what a framework is. That or this is a PR exercise.
