After some investigation, I'm not sure that mirrored containers are going to produce the result I need in this instance. If I understand correctly, all instances of the mirrored container contain the same rule instances, which in turn use the same webskins to display their content. So while it's a good way of creating a sidebar which is used throughout the website to contain things like latest news headlines or a random fact, I can't see a way to display that information differently (ie. using different webskins) in two separate places without creating two separate rule instances with independently managed ordering.
To reiterate, what I need is the ability to control the ordering of all items of a particular content type in a central location so that wherever those items are displayed I can output them in the same order, regardless of the webskin used. This would be used for content types which have no natural order (eg. testimonials, FAQs), as opposed to content types which can be naturally ordered by a certain property or group of properties (eg. date for news, last name and first name for people, etc.) -- You received this message cos you are subscribed to "farcry-dev" Google group.
