Michael, If you're creating new content that you want to then manually add to the array in a rule, FarCry 6 allows you to create the data right from the rule itself (from the array picker to be more precise). It doesn't allow you to edit records though (feature request? :). Hope that helps. You can also disable the feature per array property (we often have to for certain things like nav nodes, otherwise if the user tries to create a nav node from the array picker, it creates a rogue nav node with no home in the site tree. bad things happen after that :) ).
