I think you are confusing the purpose of the Categorisation. It is only there for dynamic items (such as dmNews, dmLinks, dmFacts - and soon to be dmEvents - and any other dynamic content you might create and add in to FarCry). It is not used for dmHTML (which is the main content on the site). However, I can see where it may be useful to categorise dmHTML objects (it's still just content and might be useful in building a search engine that can restrict to 'category').
[ BRENDAN: any major reason why dmHTML can't be categorised? ] Maybe if you explained the outcome you were after it might be easier to describe how to get that outcome with FarCry.
