I think there is a mixup happening here. FarCry isn't an out-of-the-box solution. Think of it more like a framework.
Well I'd argue strongly that FarCry CMS is: - an out of the box solution!! - an extensible and powerful cms framework - fully supported by its community and commerically by Daemon
There's not a system on earth that magically creates any menu system you want. The menus in the sample app, combined with child links, are more than adequate to navigate a website -- we demo from farcry_aura all the time. But as Gary rightly points out you have to do write a template to suit your needs.
I think what we're hearing is perhaps a need to add a 2-level primary nav (ie. with a roll over menu) to one of the sample application templates. We removed a similar menu from the last set of templates because everyone complained it was two difficult to understand :)
