Top work, Jeff!

These will be an excellent resource for new starters and those looking at
CMS options; I have just email the video link to on of the other web groups
in our parent department who are looking at CMS options. Rest assured, I did
the face2face demo. Give 'em the FarCry loving!

Cheers

Subject: [farcry-dev] Two new Farcry video tutorials released

As I promised I have released two new Farcry video tutorials. Currently
these are aimed at beginners. There has been so much talk lately from
Farcry new-comers about the lack of beginner guides.

The two videos currently released are:
- Installing Farcry Using IIS
- Using the Farcry Administrator (Part 1)

Please let me know if these are useful. I have spent over four days working
on these (mostly learning how to make, edit, and compress the videos). If
you find them useful, let me know. I'll be happy to make more.

They are currently in Windows Media Format (Media Player 9 or better) and in
English. They can have other languages added to them if someone is willing
to dub (Windows Media Player 9+ allows mulitple languages per video).

If WMV becomes a big problem for other OS users I might consider converting
them to .ogm for download as well (not the best compression, but do-able).

To download the videos go to my website and click on Tutorials.

(SIDE NOTE)
In "Using the Farcry Administrator (Part 1)" I show how to change the
wysiwyg editor to HTMLArea 3.0 (beta), however I forgot that Farcry 2.2 does
not have the HTMLArea files. To use HTMLArea you'll need to download the
files from their website (http://www.htmlarea.com/) and extract them into
/farcry_core/admin/includes/lib/htmlarea folder.
Farcry build 2.3 is due out soon and will have the files in the download.
