The performance difference between numeric and UUID indices is negligible compared to other issues. Any complex dynamically built CMS has performance issues -- you need to apply caching strategically.


However, any suggestions for performance increases are always gratefully recieved -- please lodge them here http://bugs.farcrycms.org/

There are lots of reasons for UUIDs. Not least they work the same across all supported databases, you can have mixed object type references in the same array property, you can archive content centrally and so on.
