https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=466369 --- Comment #19 from Michal Jaegermann <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> 2008-10-11 14:04:36 EDT --- > ... mangled text display is a symptom of broken xorg graphic driver I was wondering about that and this sounds now like a more feasible explanation. It is hard to pinpoint those troubles on something like freetype and damage seems to be more elusive that one would expect from errors in just a rendering engine. "Now you see, now you don't" happens all the time with seemingly unconsequential changes. OTOH when a damage is observed then it looks consistent through the same glyph anywhere on a screen. Can that be reconciled with a broken graphic driver? Contrary to comment #17 at least k3b (which is KDE/Qt program) did show font problems - in some circumstances. That it was harder to notice that it could be just fonts used there and/or their sizes. As I noted before LucidaTypewriter turned out to be surprisingly robust with all of this. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug. _______________________________________________ Fedora-fonts-bugs-list mailing list [email protected] https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/fedora-fonts-bugs-list
