However, same results. The USB writer gets "offlined" as dmesg says. This is followed by "rejecting IO to dead device" ( i checked and /dev/sr1 no longer exists). Another wasted dvd. I can try more dvds with k3b and wodim and post results if you want, if that'll help set it right.
