Short answer, yes and no. when drinking scotch, like good wine, I want the
full experience. I could cleanse my palette but then it's a tasting not
drinking. Single malts from the same region are going to share many of the
same bolder qualities, so if I drink say three different scotches one after
the other I won't be able to appreciate the distinction.
