Yes. I don't vacuum when they're in the room in question (and never vacuum the carpet in the feral FELV room--that's always a hands and knees job). I don't change or make the bed if a cat is on it. And if each sofa is occupied by a reclining cat (there are 3 sofas in the living-room and 3 cats with access to that space) I...um...sit on the floor...(When the sofas first arrived years ago and they "figured out" it was one for each of them you should have seen the way they raced to get their first choice). In the old days I used to diligently spread sheets over the sofas before going to work until I realized they loved running around (and then collapsing) UNDER the sheets. Friends of mine don't allow their cats on the furniture.
