Spraying is where they usually back up against something and pee. There is
usually a stronger odor to the urine. Feliway has no odor I can detect. I
use Odo Ban (Wal-Mart/Sam's) to clean where they pee or spray. It works
wonders and I have had no problem with it. If he is squatting I would have
him checked ASAP for UTI even if you need to see another vet. That is not a
problem you want to let go.

This may sound stupid but how do I know the difference between spraying
and peeing. He still goes into his box but I keep catching him squating
all over the house peeing on wierd things. A dart board that was under my
husbands desk, my dresser, and this morning it was a comforter I had on
the couch. I will try the feliway. Does it smell? I am afraid my
husband will make me get rid of him if I can't get the peeing under
control. Anyone want to rescue a husband? My vet is out having hip
replacement so I am not sure what to do about taking him in. When I get
him neutered, will that stop the spraying, if that is what he is doing?
Thanks again, Jennifer

Sounds like he is marking his territory. There may be female cats in the
neighborhood going into heat. It is the right time here.
Get some of the spray feliway and spray it everywhere in the house.
Especially where he has marked. Is he spraying or just peeing?
Just to make sure he is ok physically have a vet check him with special
emphasis on crystals in the urine/kidneys/bladder and for a UTI.

Hello everyone. I am back with another question. Midnight is 8-9
months
old. I have noticed the last 2 days that he is peeing all over the
house.
Not like, oops it just happened but he is positioning himself in places
or
over things and peeing on purpose. Is this a cry for attention,
spraying
or something else? Thanks for all your help!
Jennifer
