if anyone out there has any reliable statistics on how many cats tested negative for FELV,,and then after living with positive kitties converted i would sure like to know,
i just have this gut feeling that it is so very very few.
i think frequently one cat may be positive and the others never tested unless they become ill and wow,,,they are positive,,and yet they may have been positive all their lives but just asymptomatic, Those are the valuable statistics..those are the statistics that cause healthy FELV cats to be PTS ( killed)....
most of us here seem to have the experience of no transmission in adult cats,
The only way to be sure is if a cat was once negative,,,,,,,,THEN became infected,,,and positive, Kelly
