You know Melissa, you got me thinking when you mentioned Cassidy staring
out the window like that. I wonder if there is a cat coming around that
he can see out the window. Is he hitting the litterbox, or is he
spraying the walls with his perfume? One of my sister's friends was
threatening to throw her declawed cat outside because she wasn't using
her box. After a little discussion I learned that there was a cat coming
around outside and her inside high strung kitty was terrified. I had her
shut the blinds on that side of the house, add a couple more litterboxes
and give her little girl extra attention. Sure enough, her kitty calmed
down and started using her box again.

Thanks Nina!
Cassidy is about one year old and he just got neutered last week—so I
assume it will be a while before the smell dies down. My husband is
not a happy man today since he didn’t get much sleep last night what
with our baby Smokey running around all night and bringing all kinds
of toys and treasures into our bed and Cassidy’s smell which was
overpowering to say the least. Poor thing is just staring out the
window. I just propped it open a little with your advice, but I’ll get
the lattice work—what a great idea! I’m not very good at visualizing
things like that—so thanks! I’ll keep my eye on the window for the
time being!
