FELV can be transmitted vertically (in utero or in milk) which is the
most common method of transmission.
It is a virus that is difficult to transmit.
Transmission through saliva, tears, urine and feces is known as
horizontal transmission. This would include deep bite wounds (which
also transmit FIV).
There is significant age resistance.
