The lady was fostering the kitten for a local rescue. Kitty tested positive for FELV. They waited a while, and tested again, and the test was negative. Kitty was very cute, and she was so very fond of her, and so adopted her.
That was maybe a year ago. She decided to adopt another kitty, as a companion, thru another local rescue. At some point - no physical injury that she knew or - the older kitty developed Uveitis. I'd never heard of it. They tested again for FELV, and it was positive. They used eye drops, and as far as I know, things are going well. Neither kitty goes outside.
That was the first time I'd heard of Uveitis, and in particular in an FELV cat. Perhaps an infrequent occurence...

Hi all,
I have a few questions to ask regarding one of my rescues. I will give alittle info about him.
Siamese, seven months old, been tested was negative, neutered, vaccinated.
Okay, here is what happened apparently he had a accident or got smack in the eye by one of the others. His right eye look like it was bleeding but it was in the eye itself it wasn't coming out. So I took him to the Vet he said that it could be Uveitis or FIP and I went WHAT! So they took some blood the Titers read high.
He isn't running a fever, eating, playing, going potty nothing out of the norm, just being himself as usual. In general he is very healthy looking.
This was two days ago when he was taken to the Vet and put on some Cefa drops and eye drops. The eye has cleared up as if nothing has happened. I have spoke with the Vet he is glad to hear the news but will go back in four weeks to have the Titers checked again.
In all the years of rescue I have never had to deal with a kitty that may have FIP. He is such an awesome kitty doesn't deserve this as in no kitty deserves this period.
I hope this isn't the case because all my others have had contact with him of course since they eat, sleep, and play together. :(
So I guess what I am asking is for some output on this....
I have the most utmost respect for you guys since joining this group back three years ago. :)
Thanks!
