The lab results for his bone marrow aspir. came
back---the specialist said he has a rare disease---"chronic leukemia" which is
more treatable than "acute leukemia" and "lymphoma" In addition to the
interferon and the 2 other antibiotics he was put on by the regular vet, the
spec. also wants him on prednisone. the vet feels this is "infinitely more
treatable" and that it's a small cell cancer. chemo starts next week.
(Seems even the specialists are not certain which protocol for treating
cats with this as they do know what to give dogs with this disease). Meanwhile
Jelly Roll seems to be feeling fine and eating well.
Has anyone else ever had their cat diagnosed with
"chronic"?
