I agree...good, quality food seems to make a difference when it comes to hairballs!  
Our Leo was a long-haired boy...the only thing he ate was Innova dry (didn't like 
canned food for some reason)...anyway, in the time he was with us, he never had a 
hairball and I rarely brushed him...his coat was gorgeous to boot!  :)
