I know what world we live in. I’m in pro-video for some 40 years. My bad, you are the OP. You are de-interlacing and doing noise reduction. What you do NOT do is a fair test. Use the de-interlacing and noise reduction and go to a really lossless codec, THEN do your comparison to see if that’s not the culprit. Then, omit the de-interlacing (Why would you want to de-interlace anyways? Not to remove pulldown I might hope?), omit the noise reduction and go to H265, then do the comparison. Then you know. Also, just for giggles, LOOK at it. Does it seem acceptable?
