script that I copied from online guide had a spurious - sign at the end
also kind friend advised me to put source files in same directory as
ffmpeg sub directories, et voila!
credit and kudos for kind words received and no thanks for harsh words
you woul dhave dserved much more hrash words for your initial posting
because it's common sense to provide informations one can work with
