Hi Fibernetters,

I'd like to comment on MFF from a vendor's standpoint and as a customer, as I
buy from some of the vendors too.

This is one of the best run shows I attend. I equate it with Maryland on the
east coast and Blacksheep Gathering on the west. The "VOLUNTEERS' do an
outstanding job of organization, fundraising, etc. I've watched this show grow
and expand considerable over the last four years.
They had a last minute cancellation on their fleece judge and asked me to do
the show. What fun!!!
Had a great time and the folks worked with me in getting a judging card
printed in time to use for the show.

We moved outside last year and there were 11 vendors outside. This year there
were 24 and all the spots inside were filled and there's a waiting list.

We didn't camp this year, tho' we are going to bring a camping trailer next
year. The bathrooms can be a little rough at times, but I've seen maintence at
the bath rooms two or three times a day. There are a lot of folks using them
over the course of the show. They are much better than the ones offered at the
Bethel show here in MO. Motels aren't cheap and there are few in the locality.
We stayed in Holland and with our senior discout it was over 60.00 a night,
some I heard were paying well over 100.00. The motels jack the prices on the
weekend. When I use the fairground showers I always wear rubber shoes. It
helps prevent picking up fungus from the floors.

We will be back next year. This show is fun and it's because the folks running
it are doing such a good job.
