I've done some mohair/wool socks but I'm mortally afraid to put them through the washer. I wash them in a hot water soak, rinse, rinse again. I roll up newspaper into a tube, and put that inside the leg of the sock. They dry in about 8-24 hours, depending on the weather. If anyone has used handspun wool, or wool blends, NOT superwash, and washed them in the machine, I'd like to hear about it, too.
