Well, you see, I absolutely LOVE wool (even though I AM from TX originally :) I don't know why, but there it is. Yesterday I knit half a Shetland wool fair isle hat, in mid-80s high humidity temps, just because I love wool. Then add natural or dyed color to that wool, and I'm REALLY hooked :) When I love something, I like to understand it thoroughly. When someone asks a question, usually they're going to get an earful--well, at least via the Internet, where you can delete when the eyes glaze. In person, I don't talk about it much because most people don't much care, and they can't delete me as easily <g> Shetland wool is particularly fascinating to me, partly because we raise them, and partly because they're so full of surprises, and partly because they have such a rich history in the Islands of clothing the people who cared for them. I love ordinary textiles for ordinary people as much as I love wool. OK, OK, I'll shut up now :) Holly To stop mail temporarily mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] with the message: set nomail To restore send: set mail
