We don't live that far from 1000 Oaks, CA. A very snotty town, full of people who believe they are in Beverly Hills. Since it's in the same county as we are, we used to be able to borrow books from the lib. Then the city passed a new law. Only residents of 1000 Oaks can borrow books from the lib. If non-residents want to borrow books, they have to pay $50/year for the privilege. When Holly mentioned that her town library wouldn't honor her Michicard, that's all I could think of--some small, snot nosed town decided to play dragon, and hoard all the treasure.
