YEAH HOLLY i can identify with you ,, the Blessed Renaissance of knitting,
has `brought back` many ex knitters, who In past times , knitted only
with instructions. Mostly from a Veteran knitter who would sit in the Wool
shop and give them A-Z instructions, got paid for it and hence had no
interest to explain what and how.. Than many stopped knitting , while
those of us who went on knitting , refined our knowledge, cahnged many
ideas [ prejudices] about the `Do & Don`t`. added a lot of math and other
Scientific approaches to our knitting.
At the same time, a whole new generation grew up who didn`t learn knitting
at home, or at the neighbour`s, Or didn`t grow up in a Visual knitting
enviroment, thus they came with no pre conceptions at all.

I am quite willing to show , how to cast on , and guide Ex or new
knitters, in the basic How, why etc... but all too often i get
questions that could be answered, by merely looking into a mag , a book
etc,,,,
But this happens also in another field, i get daily questions from people
aout translating. Now this aren`t Complicated , cultural related
terminologies , this are Plain everyday words that can be looked up in
every regular dictionary....
