When you buy Dawn, you're also paying for the water in the bottle. If you use Orvus, you use small amounts. It's a paste, not a liquid. Although, it does soften up in heat. It gets about consistency of yogurt.
I've also used All Free, and Sun Free laundry detergents, with great results. As always, your mileage may vary.
