I have sheep here in northern Vermont. Most of mine are Border
Leicester and BL crosses. I have some Blueface Leicester and now
some Coopworth in them. I find these breeds very easy to handle. I
would warn on the Scottish Blackface. I have had crosses of them and
they can be very high strung. If you have good help maybe but they
will bolt and a ram can throw you right up in the air. Crosses can
moderate that sometimes but they are still independent sheep. On the
plus side they are hardy!! But so are the others I mentioned.
