I have a particular interest in rare breeds for spinners. Ease of
raising is as important as fleece.

Sadly, I do not raise sheep - wish I were in a position to do so, in fact.
But one consideration I would definitely keep in mind, if I were, would
be general temperament. I would not care to be in position to need
help in handling, say, a large ram who wanted to be somewhere other than
where I needed him to be. I'm pretty strong, but a big, determined ram
can be stronger.
Still, I wish I could have a few sheep ;).
And I admire your desire to raise rare breed(s) - that's what I would be
doing, if I could.
