A woman who is taking spinning lessons from me bought a grab bag assortment of spinning tools, including two wheels. One wheel I don't recognize, and can't find info for. It is a Louet wheel, but it comes with a cover, is very low, and doesn't have a drive band. Instead, it seems to power the flyer with a rubber band on the bobbin, that rests on the drive wheel and is powered by friction. This wheel is loose, and needs some adjustment to work well. It is different enough though that I can't intuit everything as I might for a conventional wheel. I tried to get onto the Louet website for info, and this model isn't even listed. I'm guessing it's a discontinued model, and I might know why, if these wheels are hard to keep adjusted. If anyone has an owner's manual for the wheel, or is familiar with it, I'd appreciate information. I hope the other wheel she bought is more straight-forward, she's bringing it to class next week!
