   Hi Amy

I knit a tube and sew the open ends together with cotton yarn using a
long stitch over the top, like closing a potato sack. The sides of
the tube do not felt together. I remove the cotton yarn after felting.
The ends are straight and felted the same as the rest of the tube. I
then cut down the side of the tube to have a flat sheet to work with.
